Fleet Manager/Dispatcher - Berlin

Our client is one of a leading global providers of integrated logistics services in land operations in worldwide air and sea freight, and in all the associated logistics services. They are operating a dedicated tradelane distribution center in Berlin for handling transport with Poland.
MISSION
As a Transport Dispatcher you will plan, purchase, organize, schedule and insure the timely delivery of the company's freight in a defined geographic territory through successful interaction with customer service and drivers. In particular you will be responsible for:

Planning, purchase and management of transportation services for the regular transport between Germany and Poland in close cooperation with client's branch office in Poland.
|
|
|
Coordination of daily dispatch functions, scheduling and driver management
|
|
|
Provision of accurate and detailed information regarding directions, load information, pick-up/delivery times and other special load related information
|
|
|
General welfare of a driver while he/she is over the road
|
|
|
Accurate input of load and driver related information into the company's logistics/planning system
|
|
|
Enhancing driver satisfaction and retention through a professional dispatch partnership
|
|
|
Other duties as assigned by this positions supervisor
|
REQUIREMENTS
Some of the requirements for this role include:
|
|
University Degree (Bachelor, Master) in relevant discipline
|
|
|
At least 5 years of related experience with a full truckload transportation provider
|
|
|
Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment under deadline pressure
|
|
|
Very good knowledge of road network in Poland
|
|
|
Proficiency in MRP2
|
|
|
Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
|
|
|
Polish national, Good conversational German and English
|
